A day’s drive from Brisbane lies the majestic, iconic Carnarvon Gorge stretching out over 330,000 hectares of rugged high mountain ranges descending down into lush, serene rainforests and pristine meandering river systems carved out by massive glacial flows a very, very long time ago.
History of The Gorge
The primary activity at the Lodge, apart from total relaxation, is trekking and exploring the many diverse natural wonders of the Gorge with over 47kms of walks.
The walks are not onerous and trails can be selected to suit most physical attributes.
